CEF Alpha was created as a resource for opportunistic investors interested in the closed-end fund universe.

Closed-end funds are by and large created by investment management firms to be sold to individual, retail investors. These retail investors are often unsophisticated market participants who chase momentum and reach for yield. The retail-centric nature of the closed-end fund universe creates inefficiencies that may be exploited by more savvy investors armed with the right information. CEF Alpha’s goal is to develop and provide useful tools to help investors analyze the CEF universe in concert with other tools and screeners already available to the public.
